Amber Heard, the actress who gained notoriety in recent years due to her high-profile divorce from actor Johnny Depp and subsequent legal battles, has reportedly quit Hollywood and moved to Madrid, Spain with her daughter Oonagh Paige.
“I can reveal that Heard has quit Hollywood and quietly relocated to Spain with her young daughter Oonagh,” said the Daily Mail’s Alison Boshoff, citing a friend of the actress. “She’s bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise.“
“I don’t think she is in any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood, but she will probably come back when the time is right, for the right project,” the friend explained, per the Daily Mail report.
This news comes after Heard’s tumultuous personal life and legal battles have dominated headlines in recent years. “She’s been through a lot and I think she just needed a break,” the friend added.
Heard’s final appearance in Hollywood may be in the upcoming DC movie “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” set to be released in December 2023. However, it remains to be seen whether she will return to Hollywood after that or whether she will continue to focus on her life in Spain.
