Batman Spin-off Concept Art Leak Features Nightwing and Red Hood

On May 30, a series of stylized images suddenly surfaced on Reddit. At first glance, many fans believed they leaked from Swaybox Studios’ upcoming film Dynamic Duo. As a result, the Batman Spin-off Concept Art leak quickly caught widespread attention. The images showcased Nightwing (Dick Grayson), and Red Hood (Jason Todd) in a gritty, animated style.

Naturally, Jason Todd’s red mohawk design sparked immediate buzz. While the look was divisive, fans quickly pointed out its roots in Grant Morrison’s “Batman and Robin“, a comic series that frequently inspires James Gunn’s DCU vision.

Swaybox Denies Batman Spin-off Concept Art Leak

Swaybox Studios quickly issued a statement firmly denying any link to the Batman Spin-off concept art leak. In their clarification, they stated that the artwork is not part of Dynamic Duo, which is scheduled for a Spring 2028 release.

Consequently, this official response put an end to speculation about the leaked images being authentic promotional material.

Artist Confesses: The Viral Art Was Fake

Shortly after the denial, artist Marcus Evans admitted responsibility. He revealed that the viral Batman concept art leak was his fan creation and released a behind-the-scenes video showing the design process.

One highlight was a Romani-inspired cape for Dick Grayson, aligning with long-held fan theories about his heritage. Although unofficial, Evans’ design gained traction for its detail and style.

Previous Batman Concept Art Leak by the Same Artist

This wasn’t Evans’ first viral moment. In 2019, he created a fake Batman Beyond concept art series, which also fooled fans and media for a short time. His work often blurs the line between official and fan-made, thanks to its high quality.

Though excitement surrounded the leak, the true Dynamic Duo remains under wraps. It’s unclear whether the project is part of James Gunn’s main DCU continuity or an Elseworlds standalone.

With Damian Wayne confirmed as the current Robin in Gunn’s upcoming Teen Titans movie, the events of Dynamic Duo may be a prequel or an alternate-universe tale.

Fan-Made Batman Art Highlights the Power of Creativity

This entire incident proves how impactful fan creations can be. While the Concept Art leak was fake, it stirred meaningful conversation about character design, representation, and continuity in the DCU.
