Fans of Poison Ivy have much to look forward to in the coming months.
Poison Ivy is a popular comic book character in the DC universe, known for her abilities to control and manipulate plants, as well as her complex personality and relationships with other characters, particularly Harley Quinn. Created in 1966, Poison Ivy has since become a staple villain in the Batman comics and has been adapted into various forms of media, including TV shows and movies. With the success of G. Willow Wilson’s Poison Ivy series, DC has announced that the character will now have her own ongoing series, much to the delight of fans. This exciting news comes after the character’s initial six-issue miniseries was extended to twelve issues, and now, the series will continue indefinitely.

The series has been praised for its psychedelic art and character-driven storytelling, which has allowed readers to delve deeper into Poison Ivy’s motivations and personal journey. The current arc, which sees Poison Ivy and Janet embark on a celebrity wellness excursion, will come to a close in issue #12, where the characters will face unexpected consequences from their travels.
The upcoming issue #13, which is set to release in June of 2023, will see Poison Ivy and Harley return to Gotham, accompanied by a lovestruck Janet. The tension between the characters promises to be thick, making for an exciting and anticipated read.
Issue #12, which is set to release on May 2, 2023, will be priced at $3.99 for the regular edition and $4.99 for the card stock variant, and will feature Ivy facing the consequences of her recent road trip with Janet. Issue #13, priced the same as the previous issue, will release on June 6, 2023.
In addition to the ongoing series, DC has also announced the release of Poison Ivy Vol. 1: The Virtuous Cycle, a hardcover collection of the first six issues of the series, set to release in May of 2023. This collection will allow readers who may have missed out on the series’ initial run to catch up and experience the psychedelic art and character-driven storytelling for themselves
