“I am 100% sure that before the end of the year, James Gunn is going to go to David Zaslav and say, ‘It’s been nice, but there’s no way I’m working for those guys. So, can you please let me out of my contract?’ And I think David Zaslav will let him out of his contract.”
Campea also speculated that Gunn could ultimately return to Marvel Studios.
“I think he’s going to end up back at Marvel, and he will become Kevin Feige’s heir apparent to take over Marvel after Kevin Feige finally goes,” he added. “That’s what I think is going to happen. That’s the road map that I see happening here.”
He continued explaining why he believes Gunn might not remain at DC Studios.
“I just can’t imagine a scenario that James Gunn – because we all know how James Gunn feels about Donald Trump – whether you think he’s right to feel that way or whether you think he’s wrong to feel that way, we all know how James Gunn feels about Donald Trump, and Ellison’s are Donald Trump’s little fk toys,” Campea went on. “So I just don’t see any reality in which James Gunn stays. He’s gonna quit.”
However, Campea later clarified that these statements represent his personal speculation rather than insider information.
Insider Responds to DCU Exit Rumors
Meanwhile, entertainment insider Jeff Sneider addressed the ongoing speculation during an episode of The Hot Mic.
While Sneider admitted he does not have inside information on the situation, he expressed doubt about the theory that Gunn would walk away from the DCU so soon. After all, Gunn has already invested significant time and effort into building the franchise’s long-term roadmap.
Therefore, many fans believe it would be surprising if Gunn left before seeing those plans through.
Daniel Craig Reportedly Linked to The Batman – Part II

Clayface Movie May Reference Batman
Meanwhile, Clayface will headline an upcoming DC film that arrives in theaters this October. However, some online scoopers say fans should not expect a Batman cameo, although the Dark Knight may still receive a reference in the story. If true, this approach could allow the film to expand the darker side of the DCU while still acknowledging Gotham City’s famous protector.
Zack Snyder Celebrates Watchmen Anniversary
