A New Solo Wonder Woman Movie Is Officially in Development
James Gunn officially told Entertainment Weekly that DC Studios is developing a new Wonder Woman film. This project stands apart from the Paradise Lost series, which takes place in Themyscira before Diana’s birth.
“We’re working on Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman’s being written right now,”
shared James Gunn.
Although the screenwriter hasn’t been named yet, Gunn still emphasized that the movie is already being written. As a result, this signals significant progress behind the scenes and suggests that development is well underway.
DCU’s Wonder Woman Update Confirms the DC Trinity Is Complete
This announcement confirms that all three members of the iconic DC Trinity—Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman—are set to receive solo films in the new DCU:
- Superman (2025) – Completed and releasing on July 11, 2025
- The Brave and the Bold (Batman) – Still in development
- Wonder Woman – Now officially in the works

Gal Gadot Will Not Return
