DC at San Diego Comic-Con focused mainly on the two highly anticipated DCEU films, Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods. During the comic-con event, Warner Bros announced four DC animated projects which will be released next year.
While the live-action movies from DC are often divisive, the studio has always succeeded with animation ventures.
Here is the tweet that shows the future DC animated projects:
After premiering ‘Green Lantern: Beware My Power’, film publicist Gary Miereanu spoke on what they can expect in the future. He mentioned the projects like ‘Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons and ‘RWBY x Justice League’, before revealing the following film titles: ‘Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham’, ‘Legion of Super-Heroes’ and ‘Justice League: Warworld’. Another ‘Justice Society of America’ project was also said to be in the works.
‘Battle of Super Sons’ was announced first at DC Fandome 2021 and released its trailer in late June 2022 as the movie will release on October 18, 2022. The ‘RWBY x Justice League’ movie was announced the same week that the trailer was released and is written by Marguerite Bennett.
These movies will be the part of DC’s Tomorrowverse. The former DC Animated Movie Universe that began with 2013’s ‘Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox’ ended in 2020 with ‘Justice League Dark: Apokolips War’. The release of ‘Superman: Man of Tomorrow’ in 2020 marked the beginning of a new animated movie universe, nicknamed the “Tomorrowverse,” of which ‘Green Lantern: Beware My Power’, ‘Justice Society: World War II’ (2021) and ‘Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One’ (2021) and Part Two (2021) are a part of. The Batman project, named as ‘Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham will have Jensen Ackles, who recently teased his return as the World’s Greatest Detective.
We can expect that the future of DC Animated movies is going to blast in the coming years with these huge superhero anticipated projects and let’s wait for further details.
