The DC Universe on film has been undergoing a transformation under the guidance of James Gunn and Peter Safran. However, amidst these changes, fans of Gal Gadot’s portrayal of Wonder Woman can breathe a sigh of relief as it seems she will still be involved in the character’s future. Gadot’s journey as Diana Prince began with her debut in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, followed by her lead roles in 2017’s Wonder Woman and 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984, both directed by Patty Jenkins. Wonder Woman 3 Back On!
Gal Gadot has confirmed that she is developing Wonder Woman 3 with James Gunn and Peter Safran. The film was previously scrapped when Patty Jenkins left the project, but it now appears that Gadot is eager to continue her role as Diana Prince.
Gadot spoke to ComicBook.com about the project, saying that she loves portraying Wonder Woman and that it is “so close to and dear to [her] heart.” She also said that she has heard from Gunn and Safran that they are “gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together.”
Gunn and Safran have not yet revealed any details about the plot of Wonder Woman 3, but Gadot did say that she is “excited to see what they come up with.” She also said that she is “happy for” the new Superman casting, which includes David Corenswet as Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.
Wonder Woman in the New DC Universe
In addition to Wonder Woman 3, Gunn and Safran are also developing a Max series titled Paradise Lost, which will be a series full of intrigue set amongst the Amazons on Themiscyra. Additionally, Gunn has hinted that he’s interested in developing a Wonder Woman animated series.
It is clear that Gunn and Safran have big plans for Wonder Woman in the new DC Universe. Fans will be eagerly awaiting to see what they come up with.
