The hope for The Snyderverse Restoration rise as WarnerMedia-Discovery merger gets green light from U.S. regulators.

AT&T and Discovery Inc. merger is now officially approved and cleared by U.S. regulators. The merge includes media and entertainment assets like CNN, TBS, TNT, HGTV, Food Network and Discovery Channel, the Warner Bros. film studio, and streaming services HBO Max and Discovery+.

According to the SEC filing:
As of February 9, 2022, Discovery, Inc. (“Discovery”) and AT&T Inc. (“AT&T”) have satisfied the closing condition in Section 9.1(d)(i) of the Agreement and Plan of Merger (the “Merger Agreement”), dated as of May 17, 2021, by and among Discovery, AT&T, Drake Subsidiary, Inc. and Magallanes, Inc. (“Spinco”) relating to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended (“HSR Act”). The HSR Act statutory waiting period has expired or otherwise been terminated, and any agreement not to consummate the transaction between the parties and the Federal Trade Commission or the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice or any other applicable governmental entity, has also expired or otherwise been terminated.
As Discovery is merging with Warner Media and the media giant is known as Warner Bros Discovery. The merger was declared last year and Discovery CEO David Zaslav is in charge of the media giant.
Here is what the CEO Zaslav says regarding this:
"
We believe it will be the best and most exciting place in the world to tell big, important and impactful stories across any genre – and across any platform: film, television and streaming.
"
Zaslav said that his “number one priority” will be building “relationships with the creative community”.
"
I will be anywhere in the world the creatives are, to strive to create the best creative culture, We want our company to be the place where people that want creativity, they want flexibility, they want stories, they will come to us.
"
The media giant also borrows the famous line from Warner Bros. classic movie ‘The Maltese Falcon’ – “The stuff that dreams are made of.” as its slogan.
This merger actually created a sense of optimism in the minds of a specific fan community. Till now, there are no such updates regarding the restoration of Snyderverse. The DCEU fans are highly optimistic about the new management under Discovery and WarnerMedia, who might open a chance to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse. The demand for Zack Snyder and his movie has risen significantly after the release of Snyder cut, as a result, OTT giant – Netflix has greenlit multiple big-budget movies attaching him as writer and director. The new company might do the same as the fans demand the director’s return to complete his Justice League Trilogy. The huge success of Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max can play a key role in making the decision, whether to restore it or not.
More details regarding the restoration of Snyderverse can be revealed only after completing the entire merging process of Discovery and Warner Media. Although, we the fans can expect that it could #RestoreTheSnyderverse as it shows a kind of possibility. The merger is now expected to be finalized by April or May this year.
