Rumors have been swirling online about two major DC projects — The Batman Part 2 and the upcoming Teen Titans movie. However, DC Studios co-head James Gunn has once again stepped in to set the record straight.

Recently, social media once again buzzed with speculation — this time suggesting that Hush, the enigmatic villain from Batman lore, would be the main antagonist in The Batman Part 2. However, James Gunn, known for his hands-on communication with fans, quickly stepped in and debunked the rumor on Threads. In response to a fan’s comment, he stated:

“Again everything you’ve heard is a total guess or made up.”

With that quote, he shut down the theory and confirmed the plot rumors aren’t based on real info.

James Gunn Denies Teen Titans Rumors

In the same conversation, James Gunn also addressed widespread speculation about the rumored Teen Titans movie. While some reports tried to predict the character lineup and storyline, Gunn quickly clarified:

“Anything you’ve heard about that movie is made up or a guess. No one in the world knows anything about the concept for the story except four people.”

This confirms that most information circulating about the Teen Titans project is pure speculation. Gunn’s blunt approach helps fans separate facts from fiction in a landscape flooded with leaks and theories.

The Batman Part 2 Expands the Elseworlds Storyline

Although the plot remains under wraps for now, there are still a few confirmed details about The Batman Part 2. For starters, the sequel is currently in early pre-production, with Matt Reeves set to return as director and co-writer, once again collaborating with Mattson Tomlin on the screenplay.

Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as Batman. Filming is scheduled to begin in late 2025, with an official release date set for October 1, 2027.

Importantly, this film will remain a part of DC’s Elseworlds label. In other words, it exists outside the main DC Universe that James Gunn and Peter Safran are currently building. Additionally, the movie will connect to The Penguin series on HBO Max, further bridging the story from the first film and expanding it into new territory.

Meanwhile, rumors about the return of Barry Keoghan’s Joker and Colin Farrell’s Penguin are still unconfirmed by the studio.

James Gunn Actively Debunks False Information

James Gunn’s presence on social media has, over time, become a reliable source for cutting through false narratives. Especially in an era where fan theories and so-called “insider scoops” often dominate headlines, Gunn consistently steps in and directly interacts with fans to offer much-needed clarity.

His no-nonsense responses ensure that only verified updates gain traction, helping fans stay grounded while excitement builds for future DCU and Elseworlds stories.

Whether it’s about Hush, Teen Titans, or any other upcoming project, James Gunn remains the go-to source for what’s real — and what’s just a rumor.
