JK SIMMONS TALKS ABOUT DCEU'S ORIGINAL PLAN FOR COMMISSIONER GORDON!

By AMBER H/ NOVEMBER 25, 2021

JK Simmons revealed the early plan of DCEU that they had for the casting as Commissioner Gordon.

Zack Snyder’s Vision for DC Extended Universe was clearly shown phase by phase after the theatrical release of Justice League. Warner Bros. hoped that the Justice League would be a success among the spectacles. However, the theatrical cut doesn’t meet their expectation.

Earlier the DCEU projects were filled with promises that made the spectacles with huge expectations. The promises went wrong as the Justice League itself is a good example. Later on, several tons of story ideas and promises were pushed aside, including the future of JK Simmons casting as Commissioner Gordon.

DCEU has enlisted the return of JK Simmons as Commissioner of Gordon for HBO Max’s upcoming Batgirl solo movie. There is a lot to look forward to when the JK Simmons comes as Gotham’s most iconic police officer. On remembering Simmons role as being Commissioner, he says the original plan while speaking with Josh Horowitz as:

"

When I first signed up to do Justice League, it was a three-picture deal. The intent was, at that time, that those actors were going to keep playing those iconic superheroes and there would be something for me to do in a couple more movies. As is often the case, that didn’t come to fruition for a variety of reasons.

"

The returning of JK Simmons as Commissioner Gordon firmly shows the depiction of the “SnyderVerse” portion of DCEU. This made the fans to be close to Snyder’s influence. We could say that this influence will make its way towards the upcoming Batgirl film. The cast of Snyder Cut includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J.K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League Versions are now available on HBO Max. Stay tuned for all the latest updates on all of DC’s upcoming projects. You can also subscribe to DC Updates’ YouTube channel for more video content in the future!
