Keanu Reeves, the acclaimed actor who played the iconic character John Constantine in the 2005 movie, recently talked about the possibility of a Constantine sequel in an interview with CinemaBlend. During the interview, Reeves expressed his excitement about the idea of making a sequel, but he also admitted that he wasn’t sure if it was going to happen.
Reeves said, “We’re trying. I don’t know if it’s going to happen. Hopefully, I get to do it, but, I don’t know.” Reeves’ comments reflect the uncertainty that has surrounded the possibility of a Constantine sequel for many years. Despite the popularity of the original movie and the demand for a sequel, the project has yet to get off the ground.

One of the reasons for the uncertainty surrounding the project is the changing landscape of the DC Universe. With the recent announcement by James Gunn on DC Universe reboot, it’s unclear where Constantine would fit into the larger DC universe. However, Reeves seems hopeful that there’s a chance the character could make a return.
“Yeah, yeah. Hopefully, we can play,” he said in response to the interviewer’s suggestion that DC is working on some interesting things.

While fans of the original movie will undoubtedly be excited by the possibility of a sequel, it’s important to remember that nothing has been confirmed yet. It’s unclear what direction the movie would take or how it would fit into the larger DC universe. However, with Reeves still expressing his interest in the project, there’s still hope that we could see John Constantine return to the big screen in the future.
For now, fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for John Constantine and the world of DC. Stay tuned for the latest updates on DCU’s upcoming projects, and subscribe to DC Updates’ YouTube channel.
