Michael Keaton is returning as the iconic superhero Batman for the first time since 1992’s Batman Returns in the upcoming DC film The Flash. To celebrate this long-awaited return, McFarlane Toys has revealed a new 12-inch statue of Keaton’s Batman, available for preorder now.

For fans of the character, it’s no surprise that Batman has been a staple of merchandise for decades. However, Keaton’s portrayal of the Caped Crusader has been absent from the big screen for over 30 years, making this statue a particularly special commemoration. The statue features Keaton’s Batman in his classic black suit, complete with his signature cowl and bat symbol on his chest.

McFarlane Toys has a long history of creating high-quality action figures and collectibles based on popular comic book characters. In fact, the company was founded in the 1990s by Todd McFarlane, a renowned comic book artist best known for his work on Spider-Man and his creation of the anti-hero Spawn. While McFarlane Toys has been producing figures based on various comic book properties for years, they only acquired the rights to create statues based on DC Comics characters in 2019.
The Flash movie, directed by Andy Muschietti and written by Christina Hodson, is inspired by the Flashpoint comic book storyline. In Flashpoint, Barry Allen navigates an altered DC Universe that radically alters the status quo and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. Alongside Ezra Miller as the titular hero, The Flash also features Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as two separate versions of Batman, adding to the film’s already impressive lineup of talented actors.

For fans of Michael Keaton’s Batman, this new statue is a must-have piece of memorabilia to celebrate his return to the role in The Flash. With McFarlane Toys’ reputation for creating high-quality collectibles, fans can rest assured that this statue will be a worthy addition to any Batman collection.
