The Flash has finally made its way to theaters, captivating audiences worldwide with its thrilling superhero adventure. The film brings together some of the most beloved characters from the DC universe, including the introduction of Supergirl, played by Sasha Calle. While fans were excited to see Calle’s portrayal of the iconic superheroine, the actress recently revealed that some of her fight scenes were cut from the final film because they were too violent for a PG-13 rating.

“There are so many visual effects,” Calle said. “But maybe one day I can ask Andy to let me see them because there were so many, and as much as I love stunts, I would love to see it.”

In an interview with Collider, Sasha Calle discussed her experience working on The Flash and the intense action sequences she filmed. Calle mentioned a scene set in a silo, where she performed a multitude of stunts that ultimately didn’t make it into the final cut. According to the actress, these deleted scenes were deemed “a little too rated R” for the film’s intended rating, necessitating their removal.

Calle’s comments shed light on the meticulous process that goes into determining a movie’s rating. The Flash aimed to strike a delicate balance between thrilling action and broader accessibility. The decision to cut certain scenes in favor of maintaining a PG-13 rating showcases the filmmakers’ dedication to making the movie enjoyable for a wider audience.

“While disappointed that her intense fight scenes were left out of the theatrical release, Calle expressed hope that she might someday have the opportunity to view the deleted footage.”

The notion of potentially releasing an R-rated version or a director’s cut with the deleted scenes is not entirely out of the realm of possibility. These extended cuts allow fans to experience a film in a different light, exploring storylines or action sequences that were deemed too intense for general audiences.

As fans continue to enjoy The Flash, Sasha Calle’s revelation about the deleted R-rated scenes adds an extra layer of intrigue to the film. While the decision to remove these intense moments was made in the interest of maintaining a broad audience appeal, it’s possible that fans may someday have the chance to witness the full extent of Calle’s fierce and action-packed performance through alternate versions or director’s cuts.
