As the stakes continue to rise, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker prepares to face his biggest challenge yet. In Spider-Man 4: Brand New Day, Spider-Man takes on Savage Hulk in a brutal showdown that also brings in the Punisher and Bruce Banner’s most destructive alter ego. For the first time, Peter must rely solely on his instincts and intellect to survive a battle of pure strength. Clearly, as Spider-Man fights Savage Hulk, the clash will test his growth like never before and push him beyond his limits.
Spider-Man’s History of Avenger Showdowns
Ever since his debut in Captain America: Civil War, Peter has clashed with several Avengers — often by accident or due to conflicting missions. Over the years, he’s gone toe-to-toe with a wide variety of heroes, including Captain America, Winter Soldier, Falcon, Ant-Man, Mantis, Star-Lord, and Doctor Strange.
Now, for the first time, Spider-Man fights Savage Hulk in what may become his most dangerous confrontation to date. In doing so, he marks the eighth Avenger he’s faced in battle.
New Report Confirms Spider-Man Fights Savage Hulk Return
According to a trusted report from insider Daniel Richtman, Brand New Day will include a major action sequence where Spider-Man and the Punisher battle a rampaging Savage Hulk. Additionally, a leaked mood board from the film’s cinematographer supports this claim, as it showcases concept art of Hulk and Spider-Man clashing mid-fight.
Notably, this would be Hulk’s first appearance in full savage form since Avengers: Infinity War, especially since the MCU later shifted to a calmer “Professor Hulk” version in subsequent films.
Peter Parker vs. Hulk: Brains Over Brawn
Spider-Man Fights Savage Hulk Differently This Time
Clearly, this won’t be a simple fight. Without the support of Stark tech or any Avengers-level backup, Peter now operates as a street-level hero, relying solely on his wits and speed. Therefore, the battle with Savage Hulk will be more about survival and intelligence than brute strength — a true test of Peter’s evolution since No Way Home.
Punisher Joins the Battle
Adding to the tension, Jon Bernthal returns as the Punisher. Well-known for his lethal approach to justice, the Punisher brings a volatile edge to the trio’s dynamic. As a result, his involvement ensures that the conflict won’t just be physical — it will also be moral, emotional, and possibly even tragic.
Everything We Know About Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man 4: Brand New Day is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026. The highly anticipated sequel features a star-studded cast, including Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink, J.K. Simmons, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Mark Ruffalo. Following the dramatic events of No Way Home, Peter Parker is now navigating life in New York City, with no one remembering who he is. Because of this, he operates in complete anonymity, all while confronting dangerous new threats. At the same time, he unexpectedly forms new alliances that will deeply challenge his growth as a hero.

How Spider-Man Fights Savage Hulk Without Iron Man’s Help
Although not a full-fledged battle, Peter’s emotional fallout with Tony Stark in Homecoming served as a pivotal moment in his development. After disobeying Tony and losing access to his advanced suit, Peter was suddenly forced to operate without high-tech support. As a result, he ultimately proved that he could be a hero on his own terms. Ultimately, it became a defining turning point in his journey toward becoming a more grounded and independent Spider-Man.
