The hunt for the next actor to don Superman’s cape in the upcoming movie, Superman: Legacy, is heating up, and James Gunn seems to have found his top contenders. Three actors have been identified as the leading candidates for the coveted role of Clark Kent, and fans can’t wait to see who will ultimately be chosen.

First up is David Corenswet, a 29-year-old actor who has caught the attention of the production team. The young star is best known for his work on the Netflix series, The Politician, and for his role in the miniseries, Hollywood. Not only does he have the acting chops, but he also has a striking resemblance to Henry Cavill, who previously played Superman in the DC Universe.

Tom Brittney is another actor who is reportedly being considered for the role of Clark Kent. The British actor has made a name for himself with his role as Reverend Will Davenport in the ITV series, Grantchester. Brittney’s charm and charisma have won him a legion of fans, and many are excited to see him take on the iconic role of Superman.

Last but not least is Andrew Richardson, an actor who is best known for his work in independent films. Richardson has appeared in a number of notable movies, including The Independent and Killer Among Us. While he may not be as well-known as some of his peers, Richardson’s talent and dedication to his craft make him a strong contender for the role of Superman.

While the final casting decision has not been made, fans are excited to see who will ultimately don the cape and take on the mantle of Superman in James Gunn’s upcoming movie. With such a talented pool of actors vying for the role, it’s clear that whoever is chosen will have big shoes to fill. But if these top contenders are any indication, the future of the Superman franchise is in good hands.
