Peacemaker Season 2 has a new official trailer, giving DC fans a first look at what’s coming next. John Cena’s Christopher “Peacemaker” Smith suits up again, and the trailer promises more of the show’s trademark mix of brutal action and dark humor. It also confirms Season 2 debuts on Max (formerly HBO Max) on August 21, 2025, placing the series firmly in James Gunn’s new DC Universe (DCU).

Green Lantern’s Guy Gardner makes a surprise cameo in the trailer. The teaser is loaded with DC Universe tie-ins. In one scene, Peacemaker literally interviews to join the Justice League, squaring off against Maxwell Lord, Hawkgirl, and Guy Gardner. These surprise cameos tie directly to James Gunn’s upcoming DC projects like Superman. We also see Frank Grillo return as Rick Flag Sr., confronting Peacemaker over old family business. In a stunning final shot, Peacemaker steps through a portal to face another version of himself.
