Will Smith says that he’d love to see the Ayercut version of 2016’s Suicide Squad released.
Suicide Squad was released in 2016 as the third installment of Warner Brothers’ DC Extended Universe. Will Smith had played the role of legendary DC assassin Deadshot, along with the other casts like including Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Scott Eastwood, Karen Fukuhara, Ike Barinholtz, and Cara Delevingne.
The movie was based on DC’s Suicide Squad comic in which a secret government agency led by Amanda Waller recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions and save the world from a powerful threat in exchange for reduced sentences.
Suicide Squad was a commercial success for Warner Bros. Though they had released a significantly altered version from what the Ayer Cut had originally delivered. David Ayer, who directed the movie was very vocal about this alteration done to the movie by the studio on social media. Multiple actors who worked in the movie confirmed this.
Recently, During an Interview with Variety Media, Will Smith opens the reason why he loves to see the Ayer Cut as:

Will Smith is not the first actor who talked about the existence of the Ayer Cut. Joel Kinnaman, Jay Hernandez, and Jared Leto talked about the original cut on various occasions. Charles Rowan, the producer of the Suicide Squad franchise did confirm the existence of David Ayer’s cut of the movie during the world premiere of James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’. Several fans wish to see this version of the movie with the similar treatment as given to Zack Snyder’s Justice League. The fans are eagerly waiting to see the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad, causing the #ReleaseTheAyerCut hashtag to trend multiple times.
