Rumors are swirling regarding a major character’s involvement in The Batman Part 2. Reports suggest that Zoë Kravitz may not reprise her role as Catwoman, fueling speculation about the sequel’s direction. However, some industry insiders caution that these claims could simply be a way to avoid press questions. Moreover, fans are closely watching official announcements to see if any confirmations emerge. Consequently, speculation continues to grow as audiences wonder how the story will unfold without Catwoman.
Zoë Kravitz Rumored to Be Absent in The Batman Part 2
On The Hot Mic show, journalist Jeff Sneider revealed,
“The representatives for Zoë Kravitz…instructed the press, don’t ask Zoë any questions about The Batman Part 2. She’s not in it and she doesn’t know anything.”
Sneider explained that this information came from interviews at another film junket, where the press were explicitly told,
“Don’t ask her any questions…she’s not in it and doesn’t know anything.”
As a result, this has led to widespread speculation that Catwoman may not appear in the sequel. John Rocha noted,
“So Catwoman is not in The Batman Part 2, even though she was a big part of the first film.” Sneider added,
“Only six people on the planet have read the script…don’t worry about what everybody else thinks.”
Following the Catwoman One-Film Tradition?
Some commentators point to the precedent set by previous Catwoman portrayals. For instance, Michelle Pfeiffer’s version appeared only in Batman Returns, while Anne Hathaway’s role was limited to The Dark Knight Rises. Moreover, Sneider observed,
“Maybe this is just Catwoman tradition—you do one,”
suggesting that Kravitz’s absence might align with this pattern
Rocha speculated that without Catwoman,
“There’s a space for a Robin or someone else to help Batman, because she helped him in the first movie. It feels like maybe someone could be sliding in to take that spot.”
Possibility of Misinformation
Sneider also acknowledged the possibility of misinformation, stating,
“Maybe this is also a lie…just to get the press to not ask Zoë questions.”
Rocha concluded, “No Catwoman, no Zoë Kravitz in The Batman Part 2. That’s what apparently has been said. So, we will see.”
The absence of Catwoman in The Batman Part 2 could shift the dynamics of the sequel, leaving fans curious about who will assist Batman and how the story will evolve. In addition, this change may open the door for new characters to take on pivotal roles in the narrative. As a result, audiences are eager to see which heroes or allies might step in to support the Dark Knight.
