Iconic Gotham Locations Revealed on the Gotham Map

Production for Clayface is currently underway in Liverpool, which doubles as Gotham City. Meanwhile, recent set photos have revealed a detailed Gotham Map, showcasing several iconic DCU Batman landmarks. Among these locations are:

  • Wayne Tower
  • Arkham Asylum
  • City Hall
  • G.C.P.D. Headquarters
  • Iceberg Lounge
  • Various Wayne Enterprises buildings

Although these locations play a central role in the story, the film will not feature Batman. Instead, by focusing on Clayface, the story allows him to take center stage, thereby highlighting him as the primary character in a unique and chilling body-horror narrative. Consequently, audiences can fully experience his transformation and the dark world he inhabits.

Cast and Crew Highlights

The film stars Tom Rhys Harries as Clayface, likely portraying the Matt Hagen version. Notably, Harries reportedly beat out Jack O’Connell, Tom Blyth, and George MacKay for the role. Meanwhile, Naomi Ackie joins the cast as an “Elizabeth Holmes-style scientist”, and Eddie Marsan and Max Minghella fill undisclosed roles. In addition, reports indicate that Minghella will play a GCPD detective connected to Ackie’s character.

James Watkins, known for the Speak No Evil remake, directs the film, while Mike Flanagan handles the screenplay despite scheduling conflicts. Meanwhile, James Gunn, Peter Safran, Matt Reeves, and Lynn Harris produce the project, ensuring strong creative guidance throughout the production.

Clayface is described as a gripping body-horror story, following an up-and-coming actor who is disfigured by a gangster. Consequently, he turns to a scientist who transforms his body into clay, thereby setting up a dark and twisted narrative within the DCU.
