Fans Predict Overman’s Cameo in Final Episodes
Peacemaker fans are buzzing with speculation that Overman, an evil version of Superman from DC Comics, might debut in one of the remaining two episodes of Peacemaker Season 2 on HBO Max. Moreover, he hails from Earth-10, an alternate reality where Nazis won World War II, therefore making him a dark counterpart to Superman. In addition, this appearance could tie into larger storylines, further exciting fans who have been following the series closely.
Many fans believe he will make his appearance after the Earth X twist. In particular, Episodes 7 or 8 are the most likely candidates following the events of Episode 6. Furthermore, if this turns out to be true, David Corenswet, who stars as Superman in the 2025 film, could potentially portray Overman as well, adding even more excitement for fans.
One fan, @Shamgod__, tweeted:
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure we’re getting Overman from Earth 10 soon #Peacemaker.”
Meanwhile, @BigBro06696271 shared:
“It would be ‘peak’ if Corenswet does appear as Overman in the season finale.”
Earth X and Comic Origins of Overman
In Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 6, John Cena’s Chris Smith / Peacemaker and his allies discover that something has gone horribly wrong in the alternate Earth they’ve come to love. Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) notes the lack of people of color, while Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks) faces a White supremacist mob. Peacemaker and Harcourt also spot a Nazi symbol on the American flag. Series creator James Gunn refers to this world as Earth X.
In the comics, he resides on Earth-10, a reality created after the events of Infinite Crisis and based on Earth-X from the Pre-Crisis Multiverse. Also known as Ubermensch, he was born as Kal-L on Krypton and grew up as Karl Kant. Overman joined the Fourth Reich, helping the Nazis win World War II and gain global control. He first appeared in a cameo in the 52nd issue of the comic series 52 in 2007, later becoming a major character in Final Crisis: Superman Beyond.
James Gunn Teases Overman’s Appearance
These rumors intensified after James Gunn hinted in an interview with Collider about a:
“Big appearance by somebody at the end of the season that I don’t think people will see coming.”
Since then, fans have been eagerly guessing who this mysterious character could be, with Overman emerging as a top contender. Many are speculating that this surprise could significantly impact the storyline in the final episodes.
