Supergirl is preparing to leave theaters and take flight onto home entertainment platforms. Now, Warner Bros. and DC Studios have officially announced the movie’s Digital and physical media release dates.
The DCU movie will arrive on Digital first. Meanwhile, fans who want a physical copy can look forward to 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD editions later this year. Additionally, these physical releases will include more than 90 minutes of bonus content.
Supergirl Digital Release Date Confirmed
Supergirl will be available to purchase or rent digitally on July 28, 2026. Additionally, the release comes just over a month after the film’s theatrical debut.
Therefore, fans will not have to wait too long to watch the latest DCU adventure at home. The Digital release will give viewers the chance to experience Milly Alcock’s debut as Kara Zor-El from the comfort of their homes.

Subsequently, the physical release will follow the Digital launch. Supergirl will arrive on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 8, 2026.

Cast and Story Details
Milly Alcock leads the movie as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl. Additionally, the cast includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, David Corenswet, and Jason Momoa.
The official synopsis reads:
“In its inaugural flight into the new DC Cinematic Universe, Supergirl reveals the origin of the interplanetary nomad Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, cousin of Kal-El, better known as Superman. The synopsis teases a very different kind of superhero story. Rather than presenting Kara as a simple counterpart to Superman, the movie follows an interplanetary nomad who has developed her own worldview.
Moreover, the story will take Supergirl across the galaxy as she faces a dangerous threat. Along the way, Kara must balance her desire for vengeance with her responsibility to pursue justice.
Kara and Krypto Begin Their New DCU Journey
The movie will introduce Milly Alcock’s version of Supergirl to the new DCU. Moreover, the story will place significant focus on Kara’s relationship with her loyal dog, Krypto.
