If accurate, this would introduce a much darker interpretation of Poison Ivy. Moreover, the character could fit the grounded crime-focused world created by director Matt Reeves.
Unlike traditional versions of Poison Ivy, this rumored take could focus more on her psychological nature and criminal methods rather than supernatural abilities.
The rumor also claims that Johansson’s character has a connection to Charles Dance’s mysterious character.
According to the report, the source describes Dance’s character as,
“The leader of a secret organization made up of the most powerful figures in the city.”
