The change immediately caught the attention of fans because it resembles the comic-book appearance of a particular Batman villain. As a result, many fans have started wondering whether Stan’s latest appearance could offer a clue about his rumored role.

The latest theory suggests that Sebastian Stan could be playing Victor Zsasz rather than Harvey Dent.
Stan’s bald appearance has fueled the speculation because the look bears similarities to Zsasz’s comic-book appearance. Consequently, fans have begun connecting the actor’s new look with the violent Gotham villain.
Still, it is important to remember that there has been no official confirmation.
At this stage, the Zsasz casting report remains a rumor. Stan could ultimately play a completely different character, or he may not be involved in The Batman Part 2 at all.

Who Is Victor Zsasz?
Victor Zsasz is one of Batman’s most brutal villains.
The character was created by Alan Grant and Norm Breyfogle and first appeared in Batman: Shadow of the Bat #1 in 1992.
Unlike some of Batman’s most famous enemies, Zsasz does not rely on superpowers. Instead, he is known for his extreme violence and disturbing methods.
One of his most recognizable characteristics is the tally marks carved into his body. Zsasz creates a mark for every victim he kills.
This gruesome habit makes him one of the darker figures in Batman’s rogues’ gallery.
Why Victor Zsasz Could Fit The Batman Part 2?
If Sebastian Stan does portray Zsasz, the character could fit naturally into the grounded world established by Matt Reeves.
The Batman focused heavily on crime, corruption, violence, and the darker side of Gotham City. Therefore, Zsasz would not need supernatural abilities or a complicated origin to work within this version of the franchise.
His brutal nature could also complement the darker tone of the sequel.
Moreover, Zsasz could provide another dangerous figure within Gotham’s criminal underworld while allowing Reeves to continue exploring the more realistic side of Batman’s world.
Of course, this remains only a possibility until the studio confirms the character.

Tim Booth Played Zsasz in Batman Begins
Tim Booth portrayed Victor Zsasz in Batman Begins.
Although his role was relatively small, the character appeared as part of Gotham’s criminal world and marked one of Zsasz’s earliest live-action appearances.
Anthony Carrigan Played Zsasz in Gotham
Anthony Carrigan later portrayed Victor Zsasz in Gotham.
Unlike the brief appearance in Batman Begins, Carrigan’s version had a much larger presence. Zsasz became a recurring character throughout the series.
Chris Messina Played Zsasz in Birds of Prey
Chris Messina portrayed Victor Zsasz in Birds of Prey.
His version served as one of the movie’s major antagonists and offered another interpretation of the character for live-action audiences.
Therefore, if Stan eventually takes on the role, Reeves would be giving fans yet another version of the infamous Batman villain.
The Batman Part 2 Cast and Release Date
Robert Pattinson will return as Bruce Wayne/Batman in The Batman Part 2.
Matt Reeves is also returning as director, continuing the grounded approach established by the first movie.
The sequel is currently scheduled to hit theaters on February 18, 2028.
