Former DCEU director Zack Snyder has shared exciting new details about the upcoming Snyder Con event, which is set to take place in Pasadena, California from April 28 to April 30. Speaking with The Nerd Queens, Snyder revealed that tickets for the event will go on sale on March 24, although there is no price point set yet.
The event will feature screenings of Snyder’s Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice at the ArtCenter in Pasadena on April 28 and April 29, respectively, before a screening of Zack Snyder’s Justice League takes place at the IMAX at Universal Citywalk on April 30. After each screening, there will be a panel with special mystery guests, and posters and t-shirts for the movies will be available at the event.
One of the most exciting announcements is that Snyder will be conducting an online watch party along with the screening of the movies, with hopes of getting the cast of his movies to join the admin panel. Snyder has previously used watch parties to make major announcements, such as the announcement of the Snyder Cut. Based on his recent cryptic posts on Vero, there are hints that another huge announcement is coming and the fans expect nothing but the restoration of the SnyderVerse.
Snyder noted that he is currently “working on the panel for Man of Steel right now” and is hoping to reveal the mystery guests soon, while also revealing that he will be signing posters and discussing his work on the movies.
He said: “We’re going to have a panel after [the ‘Man of Steel’ screening]. I’m working on the panel for Man of Steel right now. We’ll see who… And once I sort of get [people], I’ll hint at individuals, with any luck. And then, [‘Batman v Superman’], we’re gonna do the movie, then we’re gonna do a signing, I’ll sign some posters, and hopefully we can talk about the movie a little bit. And a panel as well.”
The Snyder Cut panel will be at approximately 1:00 p.m., while the other two panels will take place around 5:00 p.m. The event will also feature t-shirts and merchandise, including a t-shirt designed by DC Comic’s Jim Lee, and posters from vendors who previously made posters for the actual Justice League film. Snyder also revealed that there will be fan-driven events and prize giveaways, with the team trying to secure a Batmobile prize for the drawing.
The Snyder Con event will be a charity event that will help raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Autumn Snyder Tribute Fund, in honor of Snyder’s late daughter.
Overall, this event promises to be an exciting opportunity for fans of Zack Snyder’s movies to come together and celebrate his work. With screenings, panels, merchandise, and the possibility of major announcements, Snyder Con is not to be missed for any true DC fan.
