The photo itself does not reveal what the scene involves, but fans quickly noticed something familiar in the background. That detail has led to speculation that the movie could revisit an important location from Peacemaker Season 2.

James Gunn shared the images on Threads after confirming that principal photography had officially wrapped.
Gunn wrote:
“That’s a wrap on principal photography for Man of Tomorrow.”
However, it was one of the locations visible in the images that caught fans’ attention. Some viewers believed the setting looked remarkably similar to Salvation, a location introduced in Peacemaker Season 2.
One fan, @dechewett, commented:
“Looks an awful lot like Salvation”
Another, @prodanarchist, asked:
“Is this Salvation?”
Neither Gunn nor DC Studios has confirmed that the location shown in the photograph is Salvation.
Fans Have Different Theories About the Location

James Gunn Confirmed Salvation’s Importance
Gunn previously discussed Salvation while speaking with Variety. The filmmaker explained:
“I had mapped out what I thought the general story was, and two important aspects to that were Checkmate and especially Salvation.”
That confirmation makes the new set photo particularly interesting. Although the image does not establish what happens at Salvation, it confirms that the location is relevant to the movie’s larger story.
Superman and Lex Luthor Face a Bigger Threat
The movie will bring David Corenswet back as Superman, while Nicholas Hoult returns as Lex Luthor. Despite their bitter rivalry, Superman and Lex will reportedly be forced to form an uneasy alliance. Their common enemy will be Brainiac, played by Lars Eidinger.
The conflict could potentially push Superman and Lex into unfamiliar territory, including the mysterious world of Salvation.
