The Batman 2 could soon welcome another high-profile star from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to new reports, a huge MCU actor is currently in talks to join the cast of the highly anticipated DC sequel. DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures are developing The Batman Part II, set to hit United States theaters in 2027. Following 2022’s The Batman, Matt Reeves will return to direct the sequel.
Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne. In addition, Scarlett Johansson—widely known for portraying Black Widow in the MCU—has also joined the cast in an undisclosed role, further generating excitement for the project.

Per Deadline, Sebastian Stan is reportedly in talks to join the cast of The Batman 2. While negotiations are still ongoing, the report has quickly generated excitement among DC and Marvel fans alike.
Stan is best known for his role as Bucky Barnes, also called the Winter Soldier, in the MCU. After recently starring in Thunderbolts, he will reprise the character in Avengers: Doomsday, arriving later this year.

Beyond his Marvel work, Sebastian Stan has built an impressive career across film and television. Notably, he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his portrayal of Donald Trump in The Apprentice (2024).
